Make do update
More that 3 weeks into my first Make do month, I’m doing great. The only thing I had to buy was a piece of tulle for my City quilt, other that that I have been making do with the best of them. Honestly I haven’t even been that tempted, but I am getting my fabric fixes by sorting and playing with my stash – and some unexpected gifts from MIL. I do the same thing when I want o purchase more fabric. It helps the budget and reminds me of what I was planning for each and every piece I have. You are very lucky to have a MIL as nice as yours.
ReplyDeleteThis is the true spirit of patchwork and quilting, well done Mrs M. I will continue to buy new fabric and feed my addiction while others are upcycling, recycling and every other cycling - otherwise our poor quilt shops will go out of business!! How altruistic and considerate am I? vbg

ReplyDeleteI remember those kind of prints from my childhood. Lovely! They are modern again indeed. Fashion and fabrics seem to repeat themselves every 3/4 decades.
