Here are my first genuine African fabrics from The African Fabric Shop; aren’t they fabulous?
The owner, Magie, kindly donated a prize for a quilting event my guild arranged a while ago, and I have been window shopping, well, not as much window as screen shopping as she’s located in the UK, up until a few weeks ago when I fell I love with these:
Two Huts, Blue
Guinea Fowl, Blue Steel
Pyramid, Blue Steel
Now they are laying in my living room waiting to be washed and added to my stash; I just have to look at them for a while...
I want them ALL!!!! Now!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, how the heck have I missed that shop until now? She's got one of the best selections I've seen.
Thanks for bringing them to my attention. My wallet doesn't thank you. But I do.
Best regards,
-Michele
Oh, they are fabulous! It's probably a good thing that I don't own anything like them because I would be too intimidated to use them!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you fell in love with those! I have a small stash of African fabrics and want it to grow so I can use it! Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteI love your fabrics. I have a friend who is from Ethiopia and brought me back a bundle of fabrics the last time she went home. I've been wanting to put them into a quilt but don't know how. I'm anxious to see what you are doing. Maybe I'll have to visit the African Fabric Hut to add to my stash.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fabrics. I love African textiles.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful fabrics - I am heading over to the African Fabric Shop now...
