This artist knows how to rust stuff; maybe I should contact him before I plan my next erosion bundles. I love the simple gigantic female shapes!
My gym is also part of campus, so this is where I do my 3-times-a-week-workout/voluntary-torture-classes.
This ivy covered (not Ivy League though) school was the reason why I moved here 28 years ago. I was supposed to stay for 2 years, but never really wanted to leave. Inside this building is the cafeteria where I spent many many (oh so many) happy hours during my studies.

Oh so many happy memories…
You could always ask him if you could just crap your fabric and paper around his sculptures for about 6 months! ;) Call it a "collaborative project", I bet he goes for it! hehe
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely campus! What did you study?
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the EXACT same thing as Deborah!! :) so you can answer me too! ;) I'm smiling at Approachable Art too! LOL
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Nina Lise - I think one of those rusty statues may have been modelled on me!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, those rusted statues are amazing. I would love to see them in person. have a nice and fun day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful college campus. I too spent many hours studying in the college cafeteria. Love all the artwork at this campus too.

Ahhh...campus life. What a fun time (except for the studying). I'm pretty sure the sculptor used some illegal-for-erosion-bundles stuff to get that nice rusted finish to his statues.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing parts of Stavanger I did not see. I do know where you are, funny how small the world really is. We have many lives and time to do many things if we just keep on truckin as they say over here
ReplyDeletein slangsville, USA. Keep on truckin (or zumba-ing) my friend. xox Corrine
