Task of the day, November 12

I will be teaching a hands on colour theory class at Nordisk Quiltetreff (an event for the Nordic countries) in May 2014 so I have been searching for properly coloured solid fabrics. Today my first order arrived, a rainbow of cotton broadcloth. Well, I believe that what it is callled, we call them bomullslerret.

I have to see them live to decide which colours to use, and there are lots I won't be needing and quite a few missing, particulary in the orange departement. Oh well, on with the search. My sample needs to be finished by the end of the year so no time to waste. What a dreadful job, huh;)

I'll post pictures from the weekend classes as soon as I upload them onto my computer.

Have a wonderful Monday!

  1. Yup, that's broadcloth alright. Such pretty colors. There isn't sooo much orange there.

  3. I haven't worked with solids much but I do like the quilts I see that use exclusively solids. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
