How not to be a noreply blogger

Hi there! I have just popped a non-finished quilt into the washer and am feeling quite anxious to see how it turns out. I have used some supplies that should be rinsed out, but as I am adding other stuff to it, I want to make sure that the surface is perfectly clean before I start. I did not add detergent as I am afraid it may react with the material, but it will be thoroughly rinsed for sure. It’s going to take some time to dry as well, leaving me time to make a test sandwich onto which I can try all things gooey and fun before doing permanent damage to the quilt itself. Always a good idea.

With the extra time on my hands, I thought I would address the noreply blogger issue. If you are leaving comments on blogs, like mine, and never get any answers, it may be because you are a noreply blogger.

When you leave a comment here, my Blogger account is set up to deliver the comment to my email address. Usually I can just hit reply, and get right back to you. However, if your Blogger account is not set up with an email address, this is impossible.

Sometimes I try to find a way of contacting readers, like I did with Lori today, and mentioning that they are noreply bloggers. She asked how she could fix this, so I thought I could show you how I did it back when I was informed that I was a noreply blogger. My Blogger is in Norwegian, but your Blogger will look pretty much the same.

Go to your Blogger profile and click Edit profile

Check the box next to where it says Show my email address, and enter the email address that you’ll be using below.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Change profile (or whatever your Blogger tells you)

Click on Show updated profile to check that your profile is updated

There should be a Send message under your picture.

Congratulations, you are no longer a noreply blogger! If you would like to check that it is working, leave a comment here and I'll answer it, hopefully by email.)

  2. This was good for blogspot blogs, Nina Lise! So many of us don't even know if we are no-reply. I am and unfortunately it doesn't work with wordpress blogs. Strange thing is that for some blogs I'm no-reply and for some not. Have a lovely day! x Teje

  4. I so agree with you about no-reply bloggers! I have also tried to explain this to others in the past, but I also understand that some people don't like to make their email address public.
