Got Stash

I took inventory of my 60ies and 70ies table cloths yesterday, and here is what came out from the cupboard:

Cotton cloth

Linen cloth
They are so inspiring to work with. I bought them before I started quilting even though I rarely use anything on my tables. I just loved them – the texture, patterns, colours, everything. I don’t love them any less now, and my brain is buzzing with ideas I want to try out. Some of them will hopefully come to life tomorrow when I’m participating in Friday Night Sew-in over at Heidi’s.

All the playing and experimenting is not just for fun though – I have a piece that I need to do and hope to use some ideas from the experiments.

If you’d like to join in on the Table Cloth Challenge you can read the other posts about it here. You do not have to have a blog to join in; email me your pictures, and I’ll add them to the post.

The post where we'll link up our before-pictures (hopefully a Mister Linky) will be up on Saturday 20th. The plan is to keep it open for new links until the end of April.

Happy clothhunting!

  1. Gorgeous tablecloths. I don't put anything on my table usually either. I'm interested to see what creative goodness comes from these.
