Finish it! Shapes

I finally got proper eye sight back today. Thank you all for letting me know it actually does take way more than two hours, I was almost worried there for a while. It really does make you appreciate good eye sight, doesn’t it?

All the pieces to my house project, the Happy Houses, are cut out and ready to fuse. There are 9 shapes and 9 different fabrics with which I’m in love with all over again. I brought my little bag of fused fabrics on Easter break together with my rechargeable little Ottlite lamp as we are not set up with umpteen halogen lamps like at home. Seriously, every seat in our living room has a halogen lamp on one side or the other. It’s not an age thing; we have had them for like 20 years, I just like proper light when reading or working.

Remember me complaining about the paper coming off the fusible in a previous post? Well, after I had been struggling with cutting along those slippery moving lines through Easter, I tried to iron the last 3 back on, and it worked.

The next step will be mixing and matching the shapes into 9 Happy House blocks; I have already decided on the table cloth background.

Have you tried the Finish It! approach yet? Pick a project, work your way through it step by step and blog about the progress once a week. You’ll finish it before you know it!

  1. I've been reading aout fusig farics. Sounds exciting. Can you use any soldering iron or does it have to be a special type?

  5. Hello Mrs. M. Dropped by to see what you are up to. Liking what I see. That is going to be beautiful. I have eye problems too. Had a corneal transplant about 10 years ago and every so often it seems to flare up. Just sometimes miss my drops. Blessings
