Ready for the road

I’m almost ready for my little road trip to Vestlandstreffet in Haugesund this weekend. I’m thankful that I don’t have a tiny car ‘cause I’m not travelling light by any standard. In my huge suitcases I have, among other things, packed all my Mix & Match for Christmas samples (minus one), a few patterns (painstakingly printed/copied at home on my humble all-in-one this weekend) and a bag of kits for Sunday’s Playing with yarn class (painstakingly repacked on Sunday, all 60 (yes, 60) of them. Ugh!).My journey home should be a little lighter unless I go shopping at the retreat, so probably not.

The weather forecast is unfortunately windy which will make my ferry ride even more unpleasant than usual and I’m not that keen on staying on hotels either. I think the last is a leftover from my international business-days; all those lonely nights away from my loved ones. Enough whining already! I’m so looking forward to this weekend! Meeting lots of old and new friends, no cooking, spreading the playing&quilting-combo and lots of colour everywhere; sounds great to me.

As I’m doing the Blogtoberfest thing, I have cheated a little and posted my Saturday and Sunday entries already. I’ll be back here on Monday, bright eyed (red is a bright colour, right?) and with sore feet and hopefully loads of pictures to share.

Have a lovely weekend!!

  3. Happy retreat!!!! Our ferry ride is scheduled to be windy, too. I don't like it either. Good luck!
