Husband came home last week from another business trip to China and when I came down the next morning another surprise box was waiting.
This time it was way too heavy to contain tea so I was a tiny bit curious to open it. Yeah. Moon cakes.
Each one weighing 185g with a sugar content of almost 40% and a fat content of almost 40%. Really healthy snacks. They do look nice though.
Oh well; at least I got another pretty box for my collection.
yummy! sweet treats and a cute box...win win :)
ReplyDeleteA pretty box for sure!
ReplyDelete(I still have a box with mooncakes from one of my husband’s visits to Shanghai.)
I love the tin - but what are mooncakes???
ReplyDeleteYou married well!!! Husbands that bring gifts is a blessing!!! Oh, and those cakes looks fantastic!! Put on the coffee, light some candles and curl up!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous.
ReplyDeleteI love moon cakes.
Enjoy...
They are so very rich that a little goes a long way. I have an eighth slice with a big cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite variety has black or brown bean filling with hard egg yolk in the middle. Do you know what's the filling?
If you don't eat it, you can enjoy the pattern on it and keep a cool tin. You must show us your collection.
Send the mooncakes over here! They look yummy and sound like a heart attack, but I'd eat them up in an instant!
ReplyDeleteTin is beautiful....husband is thoughtful. I am sure you will find something to do with the cakes, you do have a cute little one who will partake...xox Corrine
