"The Happy Quilt"

My daughter has been picking up some baby stuff that I have been storing for her, one of them being one of my all time favorite quilts, The Happy Quilt. I made it for grandson No1 (2006 or 2007), the bear shamelessly inspired by a card and therefore sadly never to be published anywhere.

It’s a small quilt to be used for the pram. My daughter wanted something baby-ish in soft light blues, so I made another quilt in her colours. This one was more for my own enjoyment. One day I’ll get around to stitching a sleeve to the back so it can be hung on a wall, but for now it will be used for the brand new baby. Thank goodness colour preferences are not a constant.

The young ones will be coming over soon to stay overnight. Mom could use an uninterrupted night of sleep, and I could do with some down time.

Have a lovely weekend!
