Liten mann i skogen

The block for Victoria (Bumblebeans) is finished - "Little man in the wood". The heading is from a traditional Norwegian children's song which I was humming while putting the fabrics together. When one of my friends started signing the same tune last night, the name stuck.

This was my first time doing this kind of free form piecing, but I figured - how hard could it be. I made a little sketch first and just started slashing. It turned out to be very easy and fun, and I was pleased with the outcome. I'll be travelling & teaching the next two weekends, so anything I get done besides grandkids and class preparations is good.

Tomorrow I'm going to Voss for Vestlandstreffet where I'll be teaching two classes. I'll be staying in a beautiful hotel so you can expect pictures from the road. There will be planes, trains and buses so it will take a while..
