The Christening

So, putting together a post with pictures from the Christening was a bit trickier than expected. You know how it is, you’re in a situation where there’s so much going on – lots of people to talk to, lots of food to eat, everyone is getting their picture taken with the man of the hour, and everyone is taking pictures at the same time. Not exactly the recipe for great looking pictures is it, and besides that, most of the guests are not in your immediate family so posting their pictures on your blog would be a big no-no.

Anyway, I have been doing a little cropping here and there, so here some snippets of the day:

In church. We were a bit worried that grandbaby would want (read insist) to crawl around, but he was mesmerized by everything that was going around him.

The church has an amazing glass painting wall which I wanted to take pictures of after the ceremony, but it was not in the cards. It is made by Victor Sparre and these pictures are borrowed from the church’s website. Awesome!

The party was held at our co-grandparents house. Daughter had set the table beautifully

and there were a nice spread of cakes. Yummy yummy; I tried four of the five cakes. Let me tell you, all that sugar tasted divine for someone living a low sugar life.

Then there was the aforementioned photo shoot. Rest assured that there were no actual headless people present.

Grandbaby was happy to get out of his gown and onto the floor.

A last shot at a picture of our young ones.

The end of a long day, enough with the pictures already!..
They are wearing their bunads, you can read about them in these posts.

Thanks for stopping by!
