Needing a break from the endless preparations for next weekend’s retreat (all the fun stuff like printing handouts and patterns, preparing samples and kits etc etc), I have been sorting more scraps for my 15 minutes scrap project. Now I’m ready for more mindless sewing when I get back.
I forgot to tell you I signed up for Blogtoberfest this year. I did notice it last year when I was totally new at blogging, but this time I think it might be fun. I hope I’m up for the challenge to blog about Something (with a capital S) every day of October. Are any of you participating?
Can I just say how much all that "mindless prep" is appreciated by students. If I receive a complete set of handouts with detailed instructions, plans etc, there are lots of stage by stage samples to examine and the tutor is fully prepared for a course/workshop/retreat then it makes all the difference to how much I enjoy it and how successful it is for me. Just saying - it's worth it and appreciated :)
ReplyDeleteYup, I'm in blogtoberfest--my blog needed a jumpstart. Helps me expand the "Somethings" in my head as blog worthy :) I love reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteI didn't sign on, thinking I could do without the pressure, but now I've got a million ideas for posts! No worry, I'll enjoy seeing what you come up with for 31 days!
ReplyDeleteYou can blog for me, I do enough without a push. Nice sorting, should be fun to see what 15 minute scrap projects look like. xox Corrine
