Missing fall

Well, almost.

Searching through some old pictures I rediscovered one of my favourites. It was taken in October 2008 outside our cabin and in the most amazing light. The sun does not quite hit our little neck of the woods during the dark months of the year, but yeah, fall is beautiful up there.

Oh, how I wish I was a painter...

  1. You are a painter...you just paint thru fibre-arts. I know you can paint this and I'd love to see what you create with this fall scene. I'm sure it would be spectacular. Give it a try!

  5. That is beautiful Nina Lise - what a view! I must say that Autumn is my most favourite of all the seasons - although having said that I can't wait for Spring to finally arrive.

  6. All you need do is pick up a brush...start with a #8 flat, #3 round and an 18/0 liner, Loew Cornell has a Comfort Handle series that I use. Try painting on something that is smallish ie, 5x7. Now don't try to make it look like a photograph just have fun putting some paint on the surface. Just paint what you see. Now, go!

  7. You are already an artist... you just need paint! Give it a try. You might find out you like it better. (One thing - it's easier to mix paint than to find just the right color of fabric or to dye it.)
