Oh darn

Does this ever happen to you, that moment that you realize your excess backing has been stitched into the quilting lines?

Well, it happens to me, and I thought I could show you how I get around unpicking any stitches. Well, most of the time.

Use your seam ripper

to cut into the offending backing fabric as close as you get to the stitches without cutting into them

gently unravel the fabric until the stitches are free

and problem solved.
