Whatever; The wall

No matter how much I move the Whatever blocks around to get an evenly distribution of all the colours, I still fail. Actually, it seems like the harder I try the more of a mess I create. Add that I have to pin each block to the table-cloth-design-wall every time I move them, so it takes a while.

The solution – stop trying. I’ll be adding layers of applique anyway, so no one will ever notice the annoying overrepresentation of one curtain fabric in the top half anyway.

Stack them up and move on..

  1. It really looks good to me. And, I agree with you about the applique' on top will also change the focus. I'm sure it is going to be beautiful.

  2. I found that too, arranging only makes things worse with scrap quilts, so I adopted a "lucky dip" method.....of course any really bad combinations were banned, but I just let things happen, otherwise...

  4. Wow, it looks so complicated, all those pieces. I do admire your skill and it looks perfect to me. Thanks for your visit to my blog, so maybe one day we'll see something of an exquisite corpse appearing. Have a good weekend x

  6. I agree....no matter how many times I arrange and rearrange blocks I still find like fabrics touching or too much red on one side, etc. Just sew and enjoy.
